I, CULTURE Orchestra is a unique and innovative project of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, as well as one of the most important elements in the cultural programme of the Polish Presidency of the European Union Council. The Orchestra follows the example of such renowned ensembles as the European Union Youth Orchestra and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Its members are young people from Poland and other European countries to the east of the European Union: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldavia and Ukraine. The I, CULTURE Orchestra in the autumn of 2011 played in the most famous concert halls in Europe: Berliner Philharmonie in Berlin, Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Royal Festival Hall in London and Teatro Real in Madrid.
